MINDFULNESS AS A WAY OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

Introduction
This course has been created for teachers and pedagogical staff who want to learn more about Mindfulness approaches to teaching, Mindfulness practice and of different Mindfulness techniques, how it can bring benefit to students and teachers and pedagodical staff, moreover how it can be integrated into the school settings.

Target audience
This course is aimed at teachers and pedagogical staff from primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs education, kindergarten and to all who want to create more engaging units for their learners.

Methodology
Methodology is based on theoretical input, presentations of examples of good practice as well as demonstrations and experience comparisons and in the most part practical learning by doing approach.

Objectives ­

• Understanding of how Mindfulness can benefit the entire school community. ­
• Introducing the concept and practices of Mindfulness input to classrooms. ­
• Being more aware (inside out learning) at the individual and at the group level. ­
• Potential of Mindfulness for well-being and learning. ­
• Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills. ­
• Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation.
• Promoting intercultural awareness.

Draft daily programme

1. Sunday	Introduction of the programme Warm-ups and ice-breakers Introduction of participants, countries, schools International cultural evening
2. Monday	Mindfulness teambuilding activities Introduction to Mindfulness and creative thinking  Presentation of the participants’ experiences, school settings
3. Tuesday	NLP techniques and workshops Getting to know the beauties of Ljubljana, cultural evening
4. Wednesday	Mindfulness in classroom, meditation and practice Drama and theatre games
5. Thursday	Teambuilding and networking, non-formal activities with a cultural excursion and Mindfulness practice outdoors
6. Friday	Mindfulness and the outdoor education Online tools for collaboration in educational outdoor education, eTwinning, School Education Gateway
7. Saturday	Presentation of outcomes Further international collaboration opportunities Evaluation and certification Closing session

Course fee: 490 EUR per participant + 110 EUR for social programme
* 22% VAT is included.

The course is held in English.

Certificate
Each participant will get a course attendance certificate and the Europass Mobility Document.

About us (Team / Organizer)
Eduvision is an organization which main purpose is to train and educate teachers and educators in school settings (kindergartens, primary schools, secondar schools, high schools, universities). We connect experts, teachers and practitioners to share their knowledge, experience, innovations, good practices and new approaches to teaching at different international conferences and seminars.
In the past decade several international scientific and professional conferences were organized:

A great emphasis is put on training teachers and educators by the help od professional training courses on recognizing and learning different strategies of teaching the learning and behaviorally challenging children, special needs students such as autism, ADHD,... and last but not least authority problems.
